The most advanced 3D software, developed by Chief Architect, is now available and affordable for house designs and plans. A 3D CAD software program enables the designer to present realistic views of a home design, including colors, materials and textures. 3D plans come alive, in full color and are clearly understandable.

Standard flat drawings, prepared by hand are now almost obsolete. Computer Assisted Drafting (CAD) is the successor to that but the really advanced technology is 3D CAD. This has completely transformed and improved the design and planning process. 3D adds excitement, confidence and satisfaction to designing a new home.  

We, at Michael Hall Designs, have been using this 3D software for the last 10 of our 30 years in business to design and plan new and remodeled homes.   And, here’s why:

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

Clients planning custom home construction can understand the complexity of a design when viewed in 3D.  Brainstorming ideas for a new home and seeing it in 3D provides new opportunities for satisfactory results.  As the design evolves,  the clients viewing their dream home in 3D gain clarity of their ideas.  Designer and clients are able to develop ingenious solutions to difficult or unusual situations.

IMPROVING THE PRELIMINARY DESIGN

All of our designs are developed in 3D for easy viewing, walkthrough's, changes and improvements. Utilizing the power of 3D,  we build the home first on the computer so the design can be reviewed, and all the mistakes can be corrected and the design improved before construction begins, reducing costly on-the-job changes, and the inevitable construction delays.

The responsiveness of the 3D Cad program  enables the clients to periodically view the design and have their requested changes made instantaneously and economically. The final “walk-through” familiarizes our clients with how their home will look and enables them to implement any last minute ideas long before they break ground.
 
In effect, 3D viewing during the design stages puts our clients in the driver’s seat, controlling the finished design.
